Survey and System Design

At survey we looked at a number of options to accommodate solar on this property.

The thatched roof isn’t possible so we looked at utilising the roofs either side of the main house.

We all agreed the aesthetics of the house would be compromised so we settled on utilising the available outbuildings.

We ran armoured cable from the two outbuildings back to the main property to connect to main consumer unit.

The roofs were too short to accommodate a typical 450w Solar PV panel so we used a higher output larger panel to maximise the solar generation from the available space.

We used an inverter that can accommodate three different arrays to maximise production and minimise losses. Overall a superb system that will provide Solar energy and savings for decades.

Summary

this was an interesting project for us to install, since installation the bifacial panels appear to be boosting output from the reflective surface of the roof and generation is far exceeding our estimate.

We are delighted that the client is happy with the system and look forward to hearing about the system performance in the years to come
